You should also be prepared with the strong rains, winds, storms and hurricanes. These are among the most devastating natural disasters. There are various materials you can use to prepare your property. Use weather stripping to help prevent the water from getting in the house. There are also permanent storm shutters and doors you can install. You can also enhance the protection of your garage by replacing your regular doors with hurricane-rated garage doors. You should also prepare for floods. A waterproof compound is essential to prevent the water from being absorbed by your walls.

There are other natural problems that are equally devastating. Examples of these are the landslides and mudflows. Ask the experts about the possibilities of this in your area. They can also help you with the preparations to make.
