Because of the rising knowledge of the people as regard to changing climate and global warming, it was not immediately noted that even construction and architecture will be affected by left and right proposals of using eco-friendly materials. Nevertheless, developers are also concerned with nature as it is their primary merchandise. Thus, modern day Manila real estate and other properties in and out of Greater Manila are going green.
Although several people find the proposal of “green” architecture a difficult endeavor for construction companies, the use of natural construction materials such as bricks and cement from fly ash suggests otherwise. As a matter of fact, the shift from conventional construction methods to green architecture is no longer a farfetched idea.
In the worldwide market, firms produce and sell “green” construction materials are popping out like mushrooms. Some conventional materials producers are even changing to this industry as it is believed to boom soon. Not only does this make establishment of green buildings plausible, it also makes it practical.
Production of nature friendly construction materials is cheaper compared to the creation costs of conventional bricks and cement. It is noted that the energy required in creating these materials is 85% lesser than in making the conventional ones. This fact points to cheaper rate for energy use and increased profit from promotion.
While green buildings are still not as copious as structures made of traditional materials, it is believed that shortly cities will be lined with these environment-friendly buildings. Provincial subdivisions and townhomes, as well as Manila real estate are soon to go entirely “green” in the near future.
