La Zagaleta has recently seen a rise in notoriety after the documentary featured on ITV with the journalist Piers Morgan. Mr Morgan gave a small gimpse of the private estate and interviewed a resident, proving just how exclusive the area is and the approximate cost of owning a property there.
The estate covers some 900 Hectares (2200 Acres) and is divided into sectors. There are two entrances and many amenities dotted around the development. Within the North of the estate you have sector G, this area has thirty-four plots within its boundaries and also the security headquarters, the La Zagaleta HQ and also the service and management centre.
Just to the South-East of G is sector H, home to some 51 plots and also where the clubhouse is located. This area also has the only apartments available in the entire golf and country club named "La Posada & El Parador". From sector H if you move East you arrive at A1 with twenty plots inside. Then if you travel West from here you get to the furthest westerly point of the development, sector F1/2 this houses some further fifty-five plots. If you travel due South from this sector you arrive at sector E1, this has a total of twenty-two plots.
Travelling easterly from E1 you find yourself at B1, this sector also houses the heliport to the North of its boundary, also having twenty-three plots inside. Move East from B1 and you are at E2 this sector is the closest to the south entrance gate. The most southerly sector within the entire development is C2, then moving North West you get to C1.
There is some space around the North West of the development where the "Los Barrancos" golf course is situated, perhaps in the future La Zagaleta will offer more development for housing. The development continues to be the most sought after address within the Costa Del Sol area and offers its residence absolute peace of mind in terms of security and privacy.
