Discussing Obsessive Compulsive Kitchen Curtain Syndrome

I know that it seems love kind of a petty thing, but whenever I want to get some window treatments for my kitchen I run into problems. Probably my favorite place to spend time in is the kitchen. It has been that way in every house that I have lived in recently, but the one I currently have is a little too small to spend a great amount of time in.

The windows in each kitchen have always been small, and therefore, the kitchen drapes that I choose had to be small as well. With that said, I cannot seem to find any curtains that I truly love let alone ones that I could fall in love with.

I have spent more time than necessary searching for kitchen curtains. This is not something that I am real proud of, but it is my reality right now. I have gone everywhere and looked in all locations that I can think of and there are no curtains around that I like for my kitchen.

It should be a simple matter of choosing a color or pattern that will match what is in my kitchen, but I have not found anything that appeals to me. I have to be able to enjoy my draperies though as they are something that I am going to have to look at on a daily basis. I have a hard time finding curtains and draperies for the rest of my house, but nothing is more frustrating than trying to find them for the kitchen.

I currently have kitchen draperies, but I do not like them very much. They are rather plain with one solid color and I was hoping for something more along the lines of having a pattern. I guess it's a stupid thing to complain about, but I feel glum every time I look at them.

I have noticed that I am not the only person that has this problem, My mom is another person who has a habit of changing the sheers in her kitchen regularly as she can never find a set she can deal with. Granted, my mother spent half of her life in her kitchen, so it makes sense that she is never satisfied.

Even though I am not much of a seamstress, I may have to give in and make my own kitchen draperies. I am going to say those famous last words, "It can't be that hard right?". You really wouldn't think that it would be. There is plenty of fabric out there that I know I like as I have seen it and told myself that it would make a fabulous kitchen curtain. If I don't find something soon, I'm going to have to give in and sew. It's not that I don't like to sew, it's that I don't have a sewing machine. This means my sewing will be done by hand. In the end, my kitchen sheers may end up looking like pillowcases, but at least they will be the pattern I want.
If you are just as tired as I am of trying to obtain kitchen shades then you can at long last see a site that will tell you all of the great locations to find these items that you will love. Visit CurtainsForSale.org for more info.
