Finding luxury apartments in Marbella has never really been a difficult thing to do, however if you look carefully and do adequate research you may find even more than you thought possible. Along the stretch of coast running parallel with the sea from Cabopino all the way down to Guadalmina Baja, there are at least five developments that could be classed as the very best available.
From the East of Marbella you have two developments in the Los Monteros area, the first Los Monteros Playa is right on the beach and has contemporary design and finished, coupled with great gardens and pool area. The second here is called La Morera finished in that terracotta colour and designed in the familiar rustic finish that can be seen in many of the Melvin Varrioel designed complexes.
Getting closer to Puerto Banus and you have the beachfront "boutique" style complex of Oasis de Banus that only has 40 units built in total. Great security and now a new bridge is almost complete, residents will be able to stroll along the beach and get direct access to the Banus Marina and shops.
The next development I think deserves the accolade is the Gray Dálbion complex in the centre of Puerto Banus itself. This cannot be missed, as it overlooks Plaza Beach and has huge gold domes and window frames. Most apartments within this complex are unique and equally as opulent.
Continuing East you have two top class developments, one built on the site of a world famous movie stars villa plot. Laguna de Banus seems to be the epitomy of what should be expected from a luxury apartment in Marbella, all with great views, huge size and contemporary Balinese design. Penthouses have exchanged hands here for up to €9,000,000.
The last one in my list is Malibu, built on the plot where Sean Connery´s villa once stood. Great beachfront living with very high specification. A sea water pool and an indoor heated one, complete this list of the top properties available in the Marbella area.
