Located on South Africa’s most beautiful and well known stretch of the Garden Route, nestles a revered timeshare resort named Wilderness Dunes. It is in the midst of beautiful unpolluted beaches, indigenous forests and idyllic lakes. Considering climate, nearby attractions, sporting activities and natural surrounds in contrast with other holiday destinations, you will soon learn why Wilderness Dunes remains a top resort. Not only are the surrounds most beautiful but the calibre of accommodation leaves very little to be desired.

The Garden Route has the second mildest climate in all the world, according to the Guinness Book of Records. It has a maritime climate, with moderately hot summers, and mild to chilly winters. It is one of the nicest all-year-round rainfall areas in South Africa, most rain falling in the winter months. This maritime climate sees average high and low temperatures of 28 and 10 degrees Celsius in winter and summer.

Wilderness Dunes is in close proximity to George. Traveling from George is easy as there are frequent connections and the airport is a mere 22km away. One can access all the conveniences of a modern and sophisticated infrastructure while savouring small town lifestyle. It is home to numerous world-class golf courses; amongst these are the Oubaai and Le Grande George. And while some prefer the tranquility of a golf course, others can put their legs to good use in the newly completed Garden Route Shopping Mall, 10 km away.

You will find 41 unpretentious yet luxurious and most comfortable chalets. Wilderness Dunes is managed by the ever-prestigious Legacy Group; experts in hospitality and tourism and with many a reputable establishment under their umbrella such as The Michelangelo Towers and Da Vinci hotels in Sandton, Johannesburg.

You can truly feel a part of nature when in the open plan kitchen and balcony area. Tennis courts, children’s facilities and swimming pool are located in the resort. A boardwalk provides direct access to the ocean. Fractional owners feel as if they are in a holiday home when they are there and not in a busy and crowded establishment.

An entertainment room; walks through Melkhout Forest; bird watching and fishing are available in the resort. In the nearby areas, activities include: fly-fishing in Sedgfield at the Klein & Groot Brak for Leervis , Skipjack, Grunter & Kob; casino, 44km away; Fancourt, Pinnacle and Pezula golf courses; Wilderness Spa; hiking and mountain bike trails.

Most splendid is the scenery in and around Wilderness Dunes. Chalet balconies make the perfect place for a meal with views of the ocean and Outeniqua mountain range. For more delectable scenery, hop aboard the Outeniqua Choo Tjoe - the last remaining steam driven passenger train operating between George and Mossel Bay.
The ways and means of spending time at this resort are varied, the recommended means is the purchase of a highly sought after fractional ownership through the Legacy Group and Magic Breakaways. The fraction will allocate owners two fortnight stays per year as well as access to the International Registry’s exchange program. Be warned that serious growth and opportunity will accompany your investment.
