In the event of painting your home, which really is better? Vinyl siding or paint? Both these choices are of course good, but it would still be better to learn which type you will use for your home.

Just like most advertisement that says vinyl stays longer since it does not peel out easily. They may of course right. There are numerous good sides to using vinyl, which uses polyvinyl chloride plastic as its main application. You will find so many different colors available so you can easily select the colors you wish to use for your house. Though you may have to clean it once a year, but newer vinyl siding comes with a newer feature that has punctured structure that will let your vinyl siding escape moisture. For all those having an old vinyl siding cleaning it will need a powerful pressure washer with at least 3000 psi to remove most of the dirt built up.

One more side why most choose vinyl siding is they are cheaper compared to wood or aluminum siding. The only unfavorable side to vinyl siding is that they also pose threat to the environment. When it is used at home, the home siding material is considered for use although when it is time to change the vinyl siding and disposal is done the fumes it causes may produce highly toxic materials since vinyl is made of plastic material. Fire fighters even say that vinyl siding may create serious problems when fire happens in a house since it may be difficult to locate the source of a wall fire. This siding may create a fire that can intensify the heat literally turn the house into a furnace. And even though some say that it is durable, it is also not safe from strong hail, windblown debris, and accidents caused by heavy duty equipment.

In regards to the property value of a house with vinyl siding, while it is considered popular by many, other house buyers do not share the same views since some think that using vinyl is a way to conceal problems in the house.

For those who would decide on paint over their exterior walls, the selection of paints are abundant and guides on how to properly use different materials for painting like tools and power sprayers are available to help homeowners with changing and improving their home.

Not like vinyl sidings though, using paint will allow a home to showcase its true and natural form. Most of the time when vinyl siding is used, it hides the true form of the home, although new owners can take off the vinyl siding and replace them with paint.

But of course there are also some negative sides to using paint since it takes more time than using vinyl siding. Owners must consider doing siding, priming, touch ups and finishing. Some also question its sturdiness since most homeowners will need to do the necessary re-painting after a couple of years and they may also cause environmental problems and health problems since some brands may be toxic.

Still paint may have the edge over vinyl siding when it comes to the natural aspect, and a safety measure since natural is better.
