Winter, especially the holidays is a slow time to make a sale because people are busy with social activities and the cold weather makes it more appealing to most to stay in their homes. It could take longer to sell your home and you might not be able to get as much money as well.

  6. Skipping on listing photos is another mistake to avoid. Provide a clear and crisp picture of your home taken during the day when there is a lot of natural light available and displays the best features of your home.

  7. Hiding pertinent home problems. Since a homebuyer will normally do a home inspection, it is futile to hide the problems in your property. Remember that if you fail to fix the problem in advance, you could turn away numerous potential buyers. Getting your home inspected before you list it, is a good idea if you want to avoid costly surprises as soon as your home is under contract.
