Swimming pools vary in shapes, styles, sizes and forms. If you plan to build a pool in your property, make certain to find out your purpose of having one to be able to choose the right one for you. Research carefully on several kinds of pools and learn more about them.

Below are various types of pools to consider and their uses:

  1. Diving Pool—as what its name implies, is made especially for diving, thus, this pool should be deep. Aside from that, you should also make certain to attach a diving board to it. 2. Lap Pool— is the best pool you can use for exercise. This pool could be narrow and is perfect for exercise and training. If you are a swimmer, then this is the best pool type for you. Normally, swimmers have this kind of pool in their homes so they do not have to go out each time they practice and train.

  3. Infinity Pool—this is wonderful when it comes to adding drama to your property. This pool type is prefect for your landscaping since it helps boost the aesthetic value of your home. This type of pool is very popular compared to other types of pools.

  4. Wading Pool—this is perfect for children. This type of pool is shallow, making it safer for your children to swim and play around. However, as a parent, you should not take this light because this could be quite dangerous for very small kids, so make sure to supervise your kids well. 5. Play Pool—is terrific for those who love water sports. This pool is normally just five feet deep and allows players to move more easily and comfortably.

  6. Floating Pool—may seem like an unmovable and sturdy structure but it actually floats like a boat in the surrounding ground water. When empty, the ground water pressure pushes the structure to the ground.

  7. Above-ground pools are the cheapest option and the easiest to build. Nonetheless, this kind of pool is less durable compared to other pool designs and less attractive. The good thing about this is it can be disassembled and brought to a new location if you decide to move.

  8. Fiberglass pools—are made of fibreglass-reinforced plastic molded into a basin form. This pool is normally surrounded by a concrete deck structure.

  9. Gunite Pools—is probably the most popular pool designs in America. This type of pool can have exposed aggregate, fibreglass or tile finishes. This pool is extremely durable and can be built to any shape or size.
