When you install the bricks or pavers, you have to come up with a plan on how you want it to look like. Once you are finished, you can get the measurements so you will know the quantity of materials which you will buy.

You now dig on the place where you will install the bricks or pavers for your walkway or patio. You need make a strong foundation and thus you have to dig it one foot deep. Make use of a string so you will know the exact measurement for the excavation.
