For who does not enjoy the merry months of spring where new growths and regeneration of plants brings forth new leaves and flowers? The fresh air and light breeze brings with it the feeling of newness and cleanness that can liven up the spirit. But to enjoy your springtime more, you must have to prepare for its coming. This is especially true for the home and the garden.

Preparing your home for spring needs some amount of considerable work. To start your preparation, you must first examine and assess the things that have to be done. Begin by checking the house exteriors. Evaluate the damages caused by the winter season; the exterior walls must be checked for cracks and holes or leaks. Check the roof, downspouts and gutters. Surely there will be some work that needs to be done on these areas after the winter season. Work on it when it is dry to be safe. Rid these areas of debris such as leaves, twigs and branches that might have gotten on it during the winter months. You also need to check the pathway and driveway; and if you have some other structures outside your home, you might as well see to it too. Check for cracks and other damages.

Cleaning your home for the spring season will sure add to the freshness of the new season.

Your garden and landscape will also need to be prepared. The garden will definitely have some damages incurred during the winter months. Start by planting new growths when the winter season is officially over. Clean your garden by removing the debris brought by the winter season. Rake the leaves and twigs and branches that have obstructed your garden. Cultivate the soil of your garden before replanting; use fertilizer if you need it. Choose new seedlings and other plants that are appropriate for your garden. Check your garden tools and equipment such as garden hoses, mower, cutters and other garden tools. Have them sharpened ready for springtime use. You must also see to it that your landscaping will have a refreshing look as spring sets in.
