Islington Property includes mainly the Clerkenwell Property and Finsbury Property areas (once printing works and other industries & warehouses were located both side of Islington Property) transformed and developed since the 1960ís, into a smart and glamorously favoured location for the London's hip and trendy set. The tall and more elegant Victorian and Georgian houses all tend to be large, and well fitted out are some of the finest in Canonbury and Barnsbury, found amid their quiet and beautiful streets. Archway offers roads of densely packed Victorian terraces whilst Tufnell Park to the west has become a hot spot for those forced out by Islington's high prices.

There are other flats around these areas, built before WWII and new, shiny blocks of flats in the Leather Lane area. Around the Angel too, one of the oldest Islington areas here. There are some lovely new developments sitting alongside council areas, surrounding the wonderfully modern new shopping malls. It is a sought after location for City and West End workers.

Some properties in Islington have been converted into flats and maisonettes for the local, wealthy young media workers. The most keenly sought are the two, three and four storey homes. There are many huge and spacious properties as well, desirable for anyone looking in the area.

Islington is associated with truly wonderful and hugely varied bars and restaurants representing every culture and cuisine, as well as excellent nightclubs, both around Angel and in its Clerkenwell and Finsbury areas, as well as in Upper Street.

Barnsbury, Canonbury and Highbury lie to the north of Islington and boast many elegant squares and terraces. There are few green spaces in Islington. It is a quiet place to live and a lively place to live it up - as it has always been.
