The good news is that because of the excellent response to freehold property ownership in Dubai other emirates like Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Ajman are also allowing foreigners to own Real Estate. Anyone who buys property anywhere in the United Arab Emirates is automatically granted a residence permit too. Note that a residence does not entitle anyone to work in the UAE.
