If you are thinking of investing in property, here is more evidence that the Ann Arbor Area is hot! The Thomas Cooley M. Law School, out of Lansing announced that it will open a campus in the Northeast Ann Arbor neighborhood in the space, to be vacated by the Ave Maria Law School. This will be another “feather in the cap” so to speak for the Plymouth Road corridor, that has seen its fair share of an influx of new businesses lately.

The 84,500′ campus located at 3475 Plymouth Road, some prime Ann Arbor Real Estate, will employ 35+ people and has 80+ deposits already from prospective students. The level of interest so far, shows the desirability of Ann Arbor for a law school. Cooley, is a privately operated law school, opened in Lansing over 100 years ago. In addition to Lansing, there are also campuses in Grand Rapids and Auburn Hills. Tuition is set to be $26,800 for full time students. Classes are expected to start in September. This latest announcement solidifies how desirable Ann Arbor is for private enterprises and students alike.

Northeast Ann Arbor is located in the quiet area along the US-23/M-14 corridor, gracefully curving around University of Michigan's North Campus, Dominos Farms, and a variety of other businesses lining US-23 north of downtown Ann Arbor. Area housing in the northeast consists of newer Ann Arbor condo developments, as well as many luxurious Ann Arbor homes hidden "in the country" just beyond the tiny community of Dixboro.

The northern countryside edges its way into Ann Arbor and creates a unique and often-overlooked opportunity to live in the country just miles outside of town. Northeast Ann Arbor is convenient to both US-23 and M-14, for a quick commute to downtown Ann Arbor, Detroit, and the greater Novi area.

Families move to Northeast Ann Arbor for the diverse employment options and picturesque countryside.
There are several lovely neighborhood subdivisions that offer opportunity for investment, especially considering the growth taking place in this area with the new law school. There is Ann Arbor Parkview, Arbor Hills, Fleming Creek, Glennborough, Mystic Forest, Pinebrook Estates, The Ridge, Trillium Woods, Meadowinds, Matthaei Farms, Townsley Farms and Geddes Glen. Condo developments include Laurel Gardens Condominiums, The Arbors Condominiums, Northside Glen Condominiums, Northside Ridge Condominiums, Ashford Place Condominiums, Barclay Park Condominiums, Earhart Village.

All communities would be ideal investments for students planning to attend college, parents who are paying for student housing, or investors looking at properties as rentals or for resale at a later date. Area businesses are doing well and offer commercial opportunities for investors. Lots, buildings, and buildable land are available at an affordable rate. With the growth in this area, it is likely that property values will continue to increase.
