The area in and around Miami’s Dade County has always been the playground for the rich and famous. Today you can latch onto the dream quite inexpensively.

Everyone recalls those scenes on Miami Vice of the big expensive houses on the causeways and the fast cars streaking across the highways. Although everyone would like to imagine living there, the high cost of owning a place in Miami precluded most people from doing anything other than just dreaming about it. Today with the cost of real estate plummeting many more people are actually able to do the needed research and actually purchase property that would have been out of their financial reach only a few years ago.

There was a time when even the most modest single level one family home in the area of Miami was something that the majority of the people who lived there could not afford. The high cost of the prime real estate in the area stopped everyone with the exception of the more well–to-do from doing more than looking.

Today since the real estate crisis has hit the Florida state of so hard and made it one of the states with the highest rate of foreclosures, anyone that takes the time to do some basic research and who has access to a small amount of disposable cash can end up purchasing a home that is worth several times what it is actually being sold for. Many times the property goes for as little as ten percent of what it was valued at only four years ago.

It doesn’t take a lot of figuring to ascertain that means that a property that was worth a hundred thousand dollars can be found for as little as ten thousand dollars. These are extreme cases and not every one that you find will fall into these rice points but the deals are out there in the Miami area if you take the time to look over the Miami area foreclosures and know what you are looking for.
