Foreclosure House Hunting in The Central Michigan Dream area of Flint

The central Michigan city of Flint has stayed fairly steady in the ratings as far as Foreclosed homes go.

Flint foreclosure homes if you look at the numbers seem to have remained fairly consistent over the course of the recent real estate crash that the country is in the midst of. In fact, Flint is one of the few cities in the state of Michigan of any size that has actually seen the overall numbers in the city drop with regards to the foreclosure rate.

Part of the reason that the state is having such a large issue with the foreclosure rate is that the unemployment rate in the state is well into record territory. Flint is an exception and as a result the numbers there seem to be stable and even falling a bit and that is a nice thing for the folks that call this city home, especially the homeowners.

The state as a whole is one of the worst in terms of unemployment and until those numbers are eased there is little to no hope that the current foreclosure trend is likely to reverse or even slow significantly.

The homes that you are likely to find in the foreclosure market in the area in and around Flint will for the most part be older well made construction in fairly good repair with a few pockets of subdivisions that are more modern construction which will be located closer to the retail and industrial areas of the city.

Flint as a city is doing what it can to help to combat the problem and attempt to help homeowners to stay the tide and keep the numbers of foreclosures at bay and they appear to be having some success in this area. If the current trend in unemployment in the area around Flint holds then there is a possibility that the city can continue to buck the statewide foreclosure trend.
