Cache Valley Utah is located in Northern, Utah right next to the Idaho border. The valley is about 90 miles North of Salt Lake City, and follows all the way up to the Idaho border. The largest city in Cache Valley is Logan, UT with a population of about 43,000. Now that you know where the valley is located, we can discuss why so many people love to call Cache valley home.

As a real estate agent, I get to meet a lot of people that haven't been here before, and they all seem to say the same things when they first get here. I have complied a list of the most common reasons people love Cache Valley, and why they move here.

Top 5 Reasons People Love Cache Valley

1. Location - Cache Valley is located between two mountain ranges. We have the Wellsville mountain range to the west, and the Rockies to the east. No matter where you look, the background is going to be snow capped mountain ranges in the winter, colorful trees in the fall, and some of the prettiest wildflowers in the spring and summer months.

No matter where you live in the Valley, you are close enough to get away from the daily routine. I like to tell my clients that after you load up the camping equipment, get the boat ready, or load the canoe, it takes you ten minutes to enjoy the outdoors.

2. Safe - In today's world, it's becoming harder and harder to protect your family. No matter where you live, if you have a family, it's hard to feel the comfort that your family will be safe. Not in Cache Valley, our crime rates is one of the lowest in the entire country. We also have the highest per-capita police force in the nation, and Logan, Utah has been named year after year in the top 5 safest places to live in the nation.

If you want safe, affordable living, the Cache Valley area is top notch, and we have the stats to prove it. You can be sure your family will be safe, your home will be safe, and you are always within reach of our fine police force.

In the winter, the Cache Valley area will be covered in the greatest snow on earth, and you will have access to some of the best skiing in the world. In the spring our valley turns into a spectacle of wild flowers, and greenery everywhere.

In the summer months we usually have high temps in the low to mid 90's. There are a lot of people that live in Arizona in the winter for the warmer months, and will move back to Cache Valley for the comfortable temperatures. In the fall, with all of the trees and mountains that surround our valley, you will be dazzled with the colorful fall leaves.

4. Employment - Logan, Utah was ranked 2nd in the nation for unemployment in the first quarter of 2009. In North Logan, which is located in Cache Valley, there is a business park development under construction. The development is a $100 million development, which is said to be completed within the next 5 years. This development is the largest in our valley, and will keep our job market strong for the future. Our valley is projected to triple in size in the next 20 years, which is good for home values, and great for our economic outlook.

5. Strong Economy - The national economy is struggling, and it effects everyone, however the Cache Valley economy is one of the strongest economies in the entire country. Cache Valley is the only area in Utah to have increasing home values in 2008 and 2009. Our housing market is ranked in the top 30 in the nation. Our economy is diverse and consists of agricultural business', manufacturing, food process, and technology firms.

Our diverse economy here in Cache Valley is the reason for our stability. If one market such is struggling, the other markets seem to kick in to balance our economy. Job out look is good, and people seem to be happy with the way our local government runs the local economy.
