Making the right offer is necessary in purchasing a property. However, the state of the economy today has paved way for buyers to make low ball offers. This is not acceptable for many sellers though. That is why you still have to know when to make such offer. If you wish to make the said offer, you have to know when to do it and how to do it.

You have to know the kind of market you are dealing with if you are deciding to make a low ball offer. It is easier to do it in a buyer’s market. A buyer’s market takes place when there are a lot of sellers but very few buyers. Since it is difficult to sell a property in this type of market, sellers are more receptive of a low ball offer.

Another type of market is the seller’s market. This is the exact opposite of a buyer’s market. This takes place when there are a lot of buyer’s in the market but there are only fewer sellers. It is difficult to make low ball offers here because sellers can easily sell their property. Although this is the case, it is still possible. You can do so if you find the right seller. You will be surprised with the number of sellers who are still receptive of this even if there are a lot of buyers. So see to it that you do not let the opportunity slip.

Finding the said seller is not difficult as long as you know what to look for. Check how long the property has been in the market. If it stayed in the market for quite some time already, then you may have just find your potential home. This house is normally overpriced that is why it has not been sold yet. Since it has stayed in the market for a while, the seller would want to get rid of it ASAP.

There are other reasons why sellers want to get rid of the property right away. What is important is that you do not fail to spot these sellers. Once you find them, make sure that you have a good strategy.

There are several unsuccessful low ball offers. This is why you have to formulate a plan. A good plan should include knowing why the seller wants to sell his house. Once you have the information, it will be easier to determine your initial offer. However, you have to be ready with your counter offers as well. If you are ready, you will surely land a good bargain.

After the preparation you have to present yourself as a serious buyer. Do not give the seller a reason to doubt your intentions. Show him that you are qualified so that he can entertain your offer.

There are a lot of people making low ball offers. However, this does not mean that they were able to purchase the house. If you are not prepared, then you will not be able to close a deal.
