When you have a bathroom, you have two choices for your bathing options: to use the bath tub or to use the shower. A bath tub allows you soak your whole body for cleansing. On the other hand, a shower evenly scatters water and helps remove dirt and soap residue by pressure. But even with different mechanism, both fixtures will help you get your water needs.
You really have the best amenities for your bathroom. Hence, you must be able to select the best fixture for your bathing needs.
The Right Bathtub
In choosing a bathtub, you have to know whether you will be in need of replacement tubs or you have the freedom to choose any type you want. Replacement tubs must be able to fit the space that was used for the existing tub. On the other hand, if this is a new construction, you won't have to worry about sizes because you have the freedom of choice.
Bathtubs installed come in various forms. The first type is a soaking tub, which is deeper than any ordinary tub. They are usually free standing and they have bigger water capacity compared to any ordinary tub. If you havenít seen one, they are usually placed in the middle of the room. Water is usually poured in them to fill the tub.
The next type is the walk-in tubs. In here, the tub has built n doors. It is the perfect for those who have limited range of motion. For water to fill in, the door should be shut tight.
There is also another tub that you can buy that is a lot more times therapeutic than the other types. These are called the whirlpool tubs. It has the capacity to eject water and create a massaging effect on your body. They are really good in relieving stress but they are quite expensive to buy.
And the last type is just the standard tub. This one is just like any ordinary tub that you see in most homes.
These are the choices for the bath tubs. Prices will also vary depending on the features of the tub.
The Right Shower
Most homes around the country will always have a shower. Even if they have installed bathtubs, they will still continue to install this fixture to give homeowners better bathing options.
Shower types also come in different types. You can have ordinary shower systems with shower heads, cold and hot water control valve and the main faucet.
Other types of shower system include enclosures. This has doors and the size of the shower area has already been predefined. The materials used for the walls also vary. It can be made out of fiberglass, acrylic, glass, tile or a blend of all these stuff.
But the make or break of all is the budget. The money you are most willing to spend will dictate what you can afford to buy. Therefore, it is best you know how much you are willing to shell out to enjoy a different level of bathing.
