Loan modification initiatives aimed at averting foreclosures have been failing, according to the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
Number of foreclosure notices is expected to fall in December. Chapter 13 bankruptcy will help stop lenders from conducting concurrent proceedings of modification and seizure.
The bankruptcy rate is staggering in the City of Tucson now, although this trend started in 2007. Consumers are, in turn, enjoying decreased attorney fees and extra services.
