Meeting the neighbors after moving can often be a daunting task because you do not really know how you will be perceived or received. Living in a gated community or condominium with lots of common areas has the advantage that you will be running into your neighbors all the times as you use the laundry room, the swimming pool, the gym, the exercise area, the recreation room, or any other area where the neighbors usually gather. You might stand a very good chance of meeting interesting people and making friends if you go and try to meet your neighbors.
