Social networking offers a great opportunity for Realtors. Several pieces of software are available to create tens of thousands of followers in a very short amount of time. The "Suggested Users" feature scours other profiles that are similar to yours and recommends a list of several Twitter users. Others who have a high number of followers often follow you when you follow them.
One such instance is that of Horizon Realty Group, "one of Chicago's premiere [sic] apartment leasing and management companies." Former tenant, Amanda Bonnen, made a Twitter post in reply to one of her 20 followers that said "You should just come anyway. Who said sleeping in a moldy apartment was bad for you? Horizon realty thinks it's okay."
